James Johnson of Lincoln named KSI Employee of Third Quarter

January 31, 2018

James Johnson of Lincoln recently received the Employee of the Third Quarter 2017 Award from Kent-Sussex Industries Inc.

Johnson takes pride in the quality of his work as part of a community work crew providing cleaning services to several CHEER locations. Prior to this job opportunity, he gained valuable skills through KSI's pre-vocational services. The skills he's learned are also helping him outside of work. He's active in his church and uses his cleaning skills to give back. These activities have also developed his social skills, confidence and increased independence, resulting in being a more outgoing individual.

As Employee of the Quarter, Johnson's name has been added to a permanent plaque at KSI, and he received a $50 Visa Gift Card from Dover Federal Credit Union. He also received a gift certificate donated by G&R Campground in Houston entitling him to spend a weekend in one of its cottages, and a one-year aquatics membership from the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club.

KSI is a nonprofit agency providing vocational training, employment, supported employment, community integration, transportation and day habilitation services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex counties. For more information, go to www.ksiinc.org.
