James Joseph Mantell, retired foreman

James Joseph Mantell, 75, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away at home Monday, Oct. 17, 2016. He was born Sunday, May 11, 1941, in Bethlehem , Pa., son of the late Carl and Margaret (Geleta) Mantell.

Mr. Mantell worked for 41 years at AJ Trunzo Inc., a concrete contracting business in Pennsylvania, as a foreman. He married the love of his life, Geraldine "Gerrye" O'Connor in March 1974. In his spare time, Mr. Mantell enjoyed fishing, golfing, cooking and carpentry. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mantell is predeceased by his brother, Bobby Mantell; and his uncle, John. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Gerrye Mantell; his two daughters, Wendy and Dawn Mantell; and his siblings: Jackie Cressman, Carl Mantell, Steve Mantell and Rose Mary Mantell.

Memorial Service will be held Friday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m., at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 18 Olive Avenue, Rehoboth Beach. Interment will be private.
