James R. Jump, sales associate

James R. Jump, 63, of Milton passed away peacefully Monday, June 12, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare, Lewes.

Jim worked as a sales associate with Home Depot. He enjoyed freshwater fishing and spending time with his family camping, especially at their seasonal site in Lancaster, Pa. Jim also enjoyed all sports and playing basketball. He was a member of Houston U.M. Church and Eagles Nest Fellowship Church.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He served from 1972-75 aboard the USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19), honorably discharged with the rank of Boatswain.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph L. Jump Jr.; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Douglas and Maxine Millman Moore.

Jim is survived by his wife of 23 years, Debbie (Millman) Jump; a son, Adam Jump; a daughter, Ashley Bradley, both of Milton; his mother, Pat (Elliott) Jump of Houston; three sisters, Christine Melton and husband Bud of Indianapolis, Ind., Susan Stup and husband Jerry of Frederick, Md., and Ginger McDaniel and husband Chip of Greenwood; a brother, John Jump and wife Karen of Houston; three brothers-in-law, Jerry Millman and wife Edna of Laurel, Don Millman and wife Siggy of Milton, and Terry Millman and wife Bonnie of Rehoboth; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 16, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, with visitation after 11 a.m. Burial will be in Whites Chapel Cemetery.
