Jeanette E. Benton, Bally’s retiree

Jeanette E. Benton, 75, of Greenwood, passed away after a brief illness Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in New Jersey, daughter of the late Walter A. and Ruth K. (Frank) Plum.

Jeanette retired from Bally's Atlantic City several years ago, where she worked in the custodial/housekeeping department. After retiring, she moved to Greenwood to be near her sons.

She is survived by her two sons, Paul Benton, and Cliff Benton and his wife Tammy; two grandchildren, Samantha Lynn Brown and CJ Benton; as well as extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 17, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford with visitation after 1 p.m. Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
