Jefferson, Urian, Doane & Sterner announces firm management changes

Jefferson, Urian, Doane & Sterner PA has announced that Sheldon L. Forney, CPA, has accepted the position of firm president. He is taking over the position from David C. Doane, CPA, who has held the position since 2000.

While Doane is ending his term as president, he will continue to serve as a member of the firm's executive committee and as the managing stockholder of the Ocean View office.

In addition to this change, Frederick A. Mast, CPA, will be assuming the position of managing stockholder of the Georgetown office from Forney. Bryan Hudson, CPA, will continue as the managing stockholder of the Dover office.

Forney started with the firm in 1986 and quickly exhibited his talents, becoming the accounting and auditing director of the firm. In this role, he has been instrumental in developing the firm's quality control processes and well-respected financial reporting practice. In addition, Forney has developed a strong reputation of service to the medical community and closely held businesses providing strategic and solution-oriented advice to clients.

Jefferson, Urian, Doane & Sterner PA is a locally owned and managed CPA firm with offices in Ocean View, Georgetown and Dover; it has provided advisory, tax, assurance and bookkeeping services to businesses and individuals in the area for the last 40 years.
