Jeffery A. Bruce, security specialist

Jeffery A. Bruce, 57, of Millsboro, died Sunday, July 2, 2017, at his home. He was born in Elmira, N.Y., Monday, Aug. 3, 1959, son of the late Harold and Alice (Hanmer) Bruce.

Jeffery proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at Lackawanna Security as a security specialist, where he designed alarm systems. Jeffery was a lifetime member of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company. He also enjoyed photography and fishing, and he loved to research his ancestry. Jeffery had a wonderful sense of humor and a very generous soul. He was a devoted and dear nephew, cousin, and friend who will be genuinely missed by all who knew him.

Jeffery leaves behind his very dear friend, Lee Ann Hoffman-Waltz; his uncle, Harry Bruce; and several special cousins: Maxine Bruce (Jim), Richard Bruce (Wendy), Jerry Bruce (Sandy), and Donald Bruce (Elaine); and many other cousins.

A Committal Service will be held Friday, Aug. 18, at 2 p.m., at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. All arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Georgetown.
