Jeffrey J. Brown, dentist, EMT

December 9, 2016

Dr. Jeffrey J. Brown, 71, died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at his home in Selbyville.

Doc Brown was a dentist, volunteer fireman, EMT and community leader. He proudly served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Lakehurst, N.J. He graduated from Wake Forest University and went on to do his graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree.

Doc was a pioneer in the evolution of EMT training of service volunteers in the community. Being a paramedic/emergency responder was his passion. He dedicated his life to the health and safety of others. He enjoyed golfing, surf fishing and was an avid model railroader.

It was Doc's wishes to be laid to rest beside his parents in a private family burial at Green Hill Presbyterian Church in Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Station 88 Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company or the Ocean City Maryland Volunteer Fire Company.
