Jennifer Michelle Woolford, trauma therapist

Jennifer Michelle Woolford, 33, of Salisbury, Md., passed away Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, in Salisbury. She was born in Baltimore, Md., Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1983, daughter of Cynthia (Jensen) and Dale Weese and the late Reid T. Woolford.

Jennifer graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame in 2001. College followed where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in English from Notre Dame of Maryland University in 2005. In 2011 she earned her masters of science degree in counseling and psychology from Loyola University of Maryland.

Jennifer graduated cum laude, was a Morrissey Scholar, and a member of the Psychology and English Honor Societies and Sigma Tau Delta. Jennifer made a career in the mental health field as a trauma therapist, working for Sheppard Pratt, Turn Around, and John B. Parsons Assisted Living.

She enjoyed playing softball and volleyball, writing, dancing and just making people happy. Jennifer was a loving and devoted daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She was loved by many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Reid T. Woolford. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Cynthia and Dale Weese; her grandmothers: Mary Dembeck, Bertha Woolford and Joanne Conkling; her godmother and aunt, Christine Davis and her husband Kevin; her godfather and uncle, James "Sonny" Jensen and his wife Debbie; her uncle, Joseph Jensen; and her cousins: Tim Davis and his wife Melissa, Katie Jensen and Joanne Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at 2 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville Chapel, 34874 Atlantic Ave., Ocean View, where friends may visit beginning at 1 p.m.
