Joe McDonald joins Atlantic Sands as catering sales manager
The Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center in downtown Rehoboth Beach announced that Joe McDonald has joined its sales and marketing team as catering sales manager. His responsibilities include event planning and management, and he will work closely with the banquet and food and beverage staff and executive chef to meet the needs of bridal couples, corporate clients and social event organizers. McDonald's creative eye, customer-service focus and extensive background in banquet, wedding and event management will benefit Atlantic Sands’ many clients.
McDonald's previous experience at premier wedding venues on the East Coast, including Congress Hall in Cape May, N.J., and Cavaliers Country Club in Newark, as well as his superior graphic arts design skills have enabled him to help bridal couples and other clients better visualize and bring to reality the events they are planning at the Atlantic Sands, whether on the beach, in the Grand Swan Ballroom or in one of a variety of event spaces available at the hotel. Clients have already begun to give McDonald high praise for his friendly, professional manner and attention to even the finest details pertaining to their events. A recent wedding tasting event held for several bridal couples, planned and decorated by McDonald, featured samples from several local photographers, florists, and linen and cake providers in addition to some of the finest catered wedding fare created by the Atlantic Sands executive chef.
