John M. Pidcock, retired logistics manager

December 8, 2017

John M. Pidcock, 65, of Milton, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1952, in Chester, Pa., son of the late John M. and Ethel (Heiner) Pidcock.

John made a career with E.I. DuPont for 41 dedicated years, and retired in 2012 as a logistics manager. When he retired, he moved to Lewes with his wife to enjoy his life at the beach. John took pleasure in photography, travel, reading, and playing the ponies on the Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach. He belonged to a local Corvette club and relished his 2017 Corvette, which he delighted in every chance to take to the open road.

Above all, he cherished the time spent with his wonderful family; especially his adored "grandboys." He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be genuinely missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

John is survived by his beloved wife, Irene L. Pidcock of Milton; his daughters, Amanda Colon and her husband Luis of Wilmington, and Sarah Pidcock of Wilmington; his grandsons, Cristian and Julian Colon; and his brothers, Robert Schlosbon and his wife Kathy, and Kenneth Pidcock and his wife Nancy.

Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway; Lewes. The Memorial Service will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. Pidcock's memory to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center, Christiana Health System, P.O. Box 1668, Wilmington, DE 19899.
