Johnson Orthodontics surprises teacher Tina Windsor with $200

December 10, 2017

Dr. Jonathan C. Johnson surprised local teacher Tina Windsor Nov. 14 with a $200 VISA gift card. Windsor, a fourth-grade teacher at Love Creek Elementary School, is the first winner of Johnson Orthodontics' new teacher appreciation contest. She was nominated by her student Audrey Hershelman.

Since so many of Johnson's patients attend appointments during the school day, he asks them to drop the name of their teacher in a fish bowl. Every two months, he will randomly draw a name and surprise that teacher with $200 for his or her classroom.

It's Johnson's way of saying thanks to all those teachers who exhibit patience and understanding toward their students who must miss class. The son of two elementary school teachers, Johnson is committed to supporting local schools and is eager to surprise another teacher in January.
