Johnson to step down as planning and zoning commissioner

June 28, 2016

In the second resignation in recent months, Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commissioner Michael Johnson has announced he will step down in order to devote more time to his business, Peninsula Financial Group in Georgetown, where he serves as president.

Commissioner Rodney Smith resigned for health reasons earlier this year after serving on the commission for 12 years. He was replaced by Doug Hudson, 56, a Realtor who lives in the Dagsboro area.
