Joseph ‘Joe’ A. Bradford Sr., had a big heart

April 19, 2018

Joseph "Joe" A. Bradford Sr., 58, of Lewes, passed away suddenly Monday, April 16, 2018. He ended his time on this earth doing what he enjoyed and excelled at, making houses into homes. Joe was born in Chester, Pa., Dec. 2, 1959, and grew up in Claymont before residing in Lewes for the remainder of his life.

A selfless man with a big heart, Joe would go out of his way to help anyone in need, from strangers to family. Having sons in the Army and Marines, he devoted time and energy to many military causes close to his heart, including the Chad Clifton Foundation and Home of the Brave. In his free time, you could find him at his favorite fishing spot or riding around backroads with his loving wife.

Joe will be sadly missed by his wife Patricia Bradford; eight children: Joey Jr., Laura, Dustin, Crystal, Billy, Jessie, Lynn and Quinten; his 12 grandchildren; and countless friends.

A Celebration of Joe's Life will be held Monday, April 23, at 3 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, please make donations to the Chad Clifton Foundation, 9397 Cods Road, Milford DE 19963.
