Joseph Ronald Godard, Sussex carpenter

Joseph Ronald Godard, 41, of Georgetown, passed away suddenly Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at his home. He was born in Wilmington, Saturday, July 10, 1976, son of James Ronald Godard and Kim Gooding.

Mr. Godard worked for many years as a carpenter in the Georgetown area. He was a kind, warm and generous person who loved his family with all of his heart, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Godard is survived by his three sons: Jeremy, Justin and James Godard; his mother, Kim Gooding (Dale); his father, Ronald Godard; his sisters, Christina Tiano (Enzo) and Victoria Holderman; his nephews: Russell, Guiseppe and Giovanni; and his wife, Christina Shelzler Godard.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 16, from 6 to 7 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford St., Georgetown, with a Memorial Service to begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
