Joshua C. Hoffer, loved motorcycles

Mr. Joshua C. Hoffer, 33, of Greenwood, known to his family and friends as Josh, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

Josh was born in Lewes, May 10, 1984, to the late John Clinton Hoffer and Lynne Shaak Hoffer, who survives him. He worked as a customer service associate for Jake's Wayback Burgers. He was a member of Hickory Hill United Methodist Church in Millsboro. Even though he resided in Greenwood, he grew up in Millsboro, and had a lot of friends and family there. Josh loved motorcycles, especially his new Honda Shadow. He also loved the outdoors, camping with his family, fishing, shooting guns and working with his hands. He was a devoted husband and father, and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 13 years, Robin M. Hoffer of Greenwood; his maternal grandparents, Gail and Frank Kerr of Palmyra, Pa.; paternal grandparents, Elener and Jay Hoffer of Annville, Pa.; and three children, Alexis Brown, Trent Hoffer and Jenna Hoffer. He is also survived by two sisters, Jamie Hoffer and her fiancé Sean Messick along with his son Ryder of Millsboro and Nichole Meeks of Wilmington; a brother, John Hoffer II of Millsboro; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 18, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. for viewing and visitation.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to help offset the cost of final expenses.
