Eight Cape Henlopen High School JROTC cadets were presented with U.S. Army Cadet Command Awards during the March 9 Cape Henlopen school board meeting at Mariner Middle School. The awards recognized superior academic and military achievement for the first semester of this academic year.
Awards and recipients included: Cadet Amanda Elliott, Staff Officer of the Semester; Cadet Esly-Marin Landa, Platoon Leader of the Semester; Cadet Davi Martins, Platoon Sergeant of the Semester; Cadet Giuseppi Moreno, Assistant Platoon Sergeant of the Semester; Cadet Callee Miller, A Compamy Squad Leader of the Semester; Cadet Maurice Sheppard, B Company Squad Leader of the Semester; and Cadet Almita Ramirez, Cadet Command Commendation Medal.
