Juli Mills joins 99 Sea Level as wedding and events coordinator

99 Sea Level in Bethany Beach is already a wining and dining destination for many locals and vacationers. Over the last two seasons, it has wooed guests with finer points in culinary creativity, specialty cocktails, and a hand-selected wine list unlike anything else in the area.

Now in 2017, the establishment, located on the boardwalk in Bethany Beach inside the Ocean Suites Hotel, has an eye on large-scale events. The beautiful location built two years ago came ready-made for hosting large events like weddings. The ocean, just steps away from the restaurant, makes it one of the only places in Bethany Beach where guests can sink their toes into the sand for a wedding ceremony and walk inside for the reception.

The newest addition to the 99 Sea Level team is Juli Mills. Mills is a respected industry veteran, , working in large-scale event planning from the University of Delaware to public golf courses and former local venue the Baycenter, and she's got her sights set on expanding social events and weddings. "This is the perfect option for people seeking a beach wedding," says Mills.

99 Sea Level boasts a veranda, a ballroom, and in-house catering by Chef Danio Somoza and his team, whose fine dining menus are the feather in the cap of the overall experience. This all-in-one concept creates a sense of ease for those looking to have events that are self-contained, a feat that can't be underestimated in Bethany Beach.

"We are one of the only places - if not the only place - that can say we have the all-in-one experience," says Mills, who expects this summer and fall season to fill up quickly for not only weddings, but all types of social events, including charity and nonprofit. Donna Serafini, director of operations at 99 Sea Level, is excited for Mills to bring her expertise to this sector of the restaurant. "It's going to take us to a whole different level," Serafini says.
