Just Be Holistic Wellness opens in Lewes

Opened in May, Just Be Holistic Wellness is more than the average massage studio. The company offers massage therapy, bodywork, aromatherapy and yoga separately, and also gives clients the choice to combine yoga and massage into one session. 

Just Be is owned and operated by Erin Shivone.  Licensed and registered in both massage and yoga therapy, Shivone said, “Everybody needs a place to just stop, connect to the breath and be present.”

“I wanted to create this space because we all have a lot of stressors in life,” she said. Just Be’s services include massage and bodywork for up to 90 minutes, private and semi-private yoga lessons, and a combined massage and yoga session. Massage modalities include relaxing Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, prenatal, sports, craniosacral, aromatherapy and Thai. Shivone also works with therapeutic essential oils, which have many healing benefits.

The impressive yoga and massage combination begins with yoga instruction specific to the client’s needs for a full 30 minutes. It then moves to the massage table where the therapy and healing continue for an hour or longer. “It’s pure bliss. Just combining the two – they really work well together,” says Shivone.

Each session is unique, catering to the individual. “I really take a holistic picture of someone’s life to figure out what they need in a massage,” says Shivone. “It’s not just what’s going on in the physical body; it’s a lot deeper than that.”

Shivone wishes the best for her clients and works hard to bring them balance and harmony. “They’re able to step away from whatever is going on in their lives and just have a moment for themselves, which is so important,” she says. “It can be that simple. We can ‘Just Be.’”
