Kal-El CrossFit working out in Milton

New gym opens behind Food Lion
July 26, 2017

Kal-El CrossFit is now open for business in Milton.

The gym opened at the beginning of July at 100 Business Park Lane, Unit F, in one of the retail spaces behind the Food Lion off Route 16.

Pennsylvania native Brett Gibson, 32, said sports and athletics have always been a part of his life, and said his gym will cater to anyone’s fitness levels.

“CrossFit is for everyone,” he said. “It doesn't matter how old or how out of shape you think you are. Everything can be scaled to your physical skill set. Once you start seeing improvements it will become an addiction.”

He said the name for his CrossFit location was inspired by Superman.

“Kal-El is Superman's given name,” Gibson explained. “I like to think CrossFit can help turn anyone into a better version of themselves, mentally and physically.”

Kal-El CrossFit offers a mix of group workouts and open gym times at 6 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday and Sunday. Gibson is offering a founding members discount membership of $75 per month to the first 20 people who sign up. Once those spots are filled, the gym will offer discounted memberships of $99 per month through Sept. 15. Full-price membership will then go to $125 per month.
