Karen Ann Lynch, loved family, friends

Karen Ann Lynch, 48, of Lewes, passed away suddenly Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at Christiana Hospital in Newark with her family by her side. Karen was born in Wilmington, Aug. 31, 1968, to Michael Williams and Josephine Hudson.

She had worked at Discover Card in Wilmington for several years before moving to Sussex County. She had previously worked at Mid-Atlantic Family Practice in Lewes for over 13 years, and was currently employed with Delaware Arthritis in Lewes.

Karen was a fun-loving person who enjoyed going out to eat at local restaurants, and also enjoyed going to concerts. In her free time, Karen enjoyed spending countless hours at the beach at Cape Henlopen State Park; however, her happiest times were spent with her family and friends. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Richard Lynch; three children, Richard Lynch and his wife Theresa of Milton, Donna Lynch and her fiancé Chad Clendaniel of Milton, and Nicholas Lynch of Lewes; two grandsons, Christopher Prince Jr. and Colton Clendaniel; her mother, Josephine Williams of Lewes; and her father, Michael Williams and his wife MaryAnn of Middletown. Karen is also survived by two brothers, Richard Williams and Mark Williams, both of Middletown; mother-in-law Constance Dimaio of Lewes; uncle Bobby Hudson and his wife Betty of Lewes; lifelong friend Anissa Kitts of Bear; goddaughter Kristin Sullivan; a cousin, Harry Hudson and his wife Julie of Millsboro, and their two children; another goddaughter Brittany, and Alex Hudson.

A service to celebrate Karen's life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may call and visit after 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
