Kudos to Cape Gazette staff for awards

June 12, 2017

The Cape Gazette editors, writers, and especially Ron MacArthur with his fact-filled honest coverage of the all-important public hearings of the Sussex P&Z and Council and his photography, truly deserve the 23 journalistic awards recently awarded to Cape Gazette writers and staff by the MDDC Press Association.

While I also subscribe to and read The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and often the thick Sunday New York Times now available even here in Sussex, I almost drop everything and read The Cape Gazette as soon as it shows up in our mailbox. What a value and key to finding all the news so important to fully enjoy all the sights, places and events this area has to offer its residents. Even many of the ads have also been useful for us and neighbors.

Let's hope our elected politicians and county employees are subscribers and read the many important letters from residents in this area. Should Ron MacArthur or other writers ever run out of newsworthy consumer-oriented topics just contact me - I have several important topics that could be covered.
