L. Thomasene Warrington Blum, venerable teacher

L. Thomasene Warrington Blum, 74, of Aberdeen, Md., passed away at the Senator Bob Hooper Hospice Center at Forest Hill, Md., Monday, April 17, 2017. She was born on Christmas Eve, 1942, daughter of the late F. Thaddeus and Irene (O'Neal) Warrington of Georgetown.

Mrs. Blum was a graduate of Georgetown High School, as well as the University of Delaware, and she enjoyed a long teaching career in Maryland schools. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she will be genuinely missed by all who were privileged to know her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Neal F. Warrington. She is survived by her son, Michael F. Blum and his wife Karen; her daughter, Kristine Meadows and her husband Charles; her grandchildren: Marissa Spicer, Preston Blum and Arianna Blum; her brother, Frederick T. Warrington III of Georgetown; and her sisters: Grace Warrington Lowe of Lewes and Rosemary Warrington Cucina of Westlake, Calif.

Private family services will be held at the Warrington plot at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.

Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Georgetown.
