Lenwood Lee Eley Jr., retired barber

Lenwood Lee Eley Jr., 64, of Milton passed from time into eternity, surrounded by his loving wife, children, and other family members Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at home after a lengthy illness.

Lee, as he was fondly called, spent his entire life in Milton. For many years he cut hair along with his father Lenwood Sr. After the death of his father, he continued to barber on his own, until his health would no longer permit it. Lee was a member of Storm Shelter Ministries under the pastorate of his brother Pastor Leonard Eley.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Freda M. Eley; two daughters: April L. and husband Landy Tyler-Lincoln, and Meika A. Eley of Milton; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers, Michael and Roberta Eley of Milton, Raphus and Marie Eley of Milton, Pastor Leonard and First Lady Dorian Eley of Georgetown, and Herbert Eley of Georgetown; six sisters, Joyce and Johnny Santiago of Ellendale, Sandra and Charles Chandler of Laurel, Caroline Eley of Millsboro, Kassandra Taylor of Dover, Jean and James Johnson of Harbeson, and Jeanette Cooper of Milton.

Service was Saturday, Sept. 23, at Bethel AME Church, Milton.
