Lefty’s Alley & Eats to celebrate birthday with Toys for Tots campaign Dec. 5

December 2, 2017

Tuesday, Dec. 5, will mark one year of food, fun, and family entertainment at Lefty's Alley & Eats in Lewes. To celebrate, Lefty's plans to host a Toys for Tots Party from 5 to 8 p.m. Guests who bring an unwrapped toy will receive free pizza, soda, and a $5 game card for the evening.

"We wanted to do something that not only recognized our first year in business, but also helped families less fortunate have some fun at home this holiday season. We hope that we are giving away a ton of pizza that night so we can pack the truck," said Jennifer Gooner, director of operations.

Lefty's Alley & Eats opened its doors in December 2016 welcoming "eatertainment" seekers from all over the Delmarva region, and estimates that it will accommodate 140,000 visitors and partner with over 40 nonprofit organizations for fundraising events in this first year of operation. "It's been a blur, honestly. Time really does fly when you are having fun!" Gooner added.

The 35,000-square-foot facility encompasses many different attractions under one roof, ensuring a great time for everyone in the family, young and old. Entertainment options include an arcade, laser tag, and 16 lanes of luxury bowling. The restaurant features sharable appetizers, gourmet burgers and sandwiches, hand-tossed pizzas, and chef inspired seasonal entrees.

"The food and beverage offerings here are much more upscale than people expect," says Chef Tom Kramer. "We often have debates with our customers as to whether we are a bowling alley with a restaurant or a restaurant with a bowling alley. I simply tell people we are ‘eatertainment’ but our goal is to be a stand-alone food destination for those who only want a great lunch or dinner."

Lefty's Alley & Eats is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, located at 36450 Plaza Drive in Lewes. For specials and promotions, visit www.iloveleftys.com or call 302-864-6000.
