Leonard Lee Harris, enjoyed working on cars

Leonard Lee Harris, 47, of Lincoln passed away at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, after a courageous battle with lymphoma.

Leonard was born March 19, 1969, in Milford, son of Oscar Anthony Harris and Edna Mae Harris. He started his life out as a fighter. He endured his share of health issues, but always managed to beat all his odds.

He attended Milford School District where he first learned how to work on cars. He loved to take cars apart and put them back together in a 24-hour timeframe. Leonard loved to attend car shows of all kinds with his friends and family. He also was a dedicated father to his children and loved to take them fishing.

Leonard is survived by his son Michael Anthony Harris; his daughter Shelby Nicole Harris; youngest son Kaden Isaac Harris, and their mother Melissa Fancovic Harris; he was a proud grandfather to Michael Harris Jr. and Karmela Nicole Lee Harris; his parents Oscar Anthony Harris and Edna Mae Harris of Lincoln; a grandmother, Jean Harris of Lincoln; his brother, Eric Harris in Lincoln; and two sisters, Tammy Harris and June Harris; as well as four nieces and one newphew; and an extended family that loved him very much.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 23, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home located in Milford, from 6 to 8 p,m. A mass ceremony will be held Friday, Feb. 24, at Saint John's Catholic Church, 506 Seabury Ave., Milford at 11 a.m.
