Lewes Diner to host ‘Murder on Sunset Boulevard’ March 24

March 17, 2018

Foot Light Productions’ upcoming murder mystery show, “Murder on Sunset Boulevard,” will be performed Saturday, March 24, at the Lewes Diner, 1201 Savannah Road. Seating and cocktails begin at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m., and the murder mystery begins at 7 p.m.

The “Murder on Sunset Boulevard” mystery takes place in 1950 at the residence of famous silent screen star Norma Despot. She has been planning a return to the silver screen, not a comeback, and no one is going to stand in her way. Max, her loyal servant, previously her last director and first husband, is assisting Madame in her return to the silver screen. However, they are disrupted by four visitors who have different ideas about the possibility of Despot returning to the movies.

A buffet meal includes soup or salad, rolls, tenderloin beef tips over rice, fried flounder, chicken scampi with broccoli, an assortment of hot vegetables, a variety of desserts, and nonalcoholic beverages. The cost is $39 per person. Gratuity and alcoholic beverages are not included. A full cash bar will be available.

Audience members will eat dinner and then watch the comedic drama unfold until they witness a murder. It is up to them to question the suspects and discover motive, means and opportunity. Prizes will be awarded for the correct solution. It is fun, family friendly and unique. The show features local entertainers Suzette Chambers-Marrin and Reeves Marrin of Milton; Mary Anne Stein, Tom Sweeny and Ches Warrener of Lewes; and Maria Fry of Barclay, Md.

Free parking is available in the front lot of the restaurant. Reservations are required. For more information or to make reservations, call 302-200-9191.
