Lewes Public Library kicks off 31 Chances to Win raffle

March 2, 2018

On March 1, Lewes Public Library launched a fun new way to raise much-needed funds. Throughout the month of March, the library is holding a 31 Chances to Win raffle drawing every day to give out $100 in gift certificates.

Fifty-six local businesses, including restaurants, clothing stores, grocery stores, gyms, gift shops, hardware stores, and movie theaters have contributed over $4,000 worth of prizes. In fact, businesses were so generous, the library will hold daily double drawings at the end of the month to give out extra gift certificates!

Daily winners, including notice of the randomly drawn gift certificate, will be posted on the library's website and on its Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram.

Winners may pick up their gift certificate(s) in the library or have them mailed out.

Raffle tickets are on sale now and will continue throughout the month. Tickets are $20 each, or three for $50, or seven for $100. The more tickets bought, the better the chances to win. If a ticket is not drawn one day, it will remain in the pot for future drawings.

Tickets are available at the library's Circulation Desk and may be purchased with cash, check payable to the library, or by credit card. For more information about the raffle, including a complete listing of the participating businesses, go to www.lewes.lib.de.us or call 302-645-2733.

Lewes Public Library is an independent library and every year it must raise 45 percent of its own annual operating budget. Fundraisers like this allow the library to keep the doors open and continue to bring wonderful programs and offerings for free to the public.
