Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary donates to Lewes Farmers Market

December 15, 2017

The Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary Club recently presented a check for $1,500 to the Historic Lewes Farmers Market.

Started in summer 2006 by a group of volunteers, the market has steadily grown to include more than 35 vendors. In addition to fresh produce, eggs, fruits, breads, baked goods, meats, fish, cut flowers and herbs, the market features workshops by local chefs, master gardeners and sustainable agriculture experts.

Rotary's mission is to make the greater Lewes community a better place to live, work, go to school and raise a family through service and fundraising projects. The club meets at 5:15 p.m. every Monday for dinner at Irish Eyes in Lewes. Community-spirited individuals are invited to attend.
