Littleton 'Lit' T. Dryden Jr., accomplished Realtor

Littleton “Lit” T. Dryden Jr., 76, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully at Harrison Senior Living Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017.
Mr. Dryden was born in Crisfield, Md., to the late Littleton and Dorothy (Maddrix) Dryden Sr. He was a self-employed Realtor and served in the Delaware National Guard.
He was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where he was involved with their Men's Group. He was also a member of a number of organizations, including the Lewes American Legion Post 17, the Georgetown Masonic Franklin Lodge No. 12, Georgetown Rotary Club, Georgetown Improved Order of Red Men, and Crisfield Elks Lodge 1044.
Lit was also very proud of being a Realtor and was even named Realtor of the Year, as well as being involved with the National Association of Realtors, the Delaware Association of Realtors, and the New Castle and Sussex County boards of realtors. He was also a very civic-minded individual, and very involved with anything that valued his community.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Littleton T. Dryden III.
He is survived by his wife Josephine 'Jo' Dryden; children Bartley (Dan) Dryden and Christine Dryden; and grandchildren Karlie and Chase.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 122 E. Pine St., Georgetown. A visitation will also be held Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown.
