Local artist Pam Bounds-Seemans to speak Oct. 26 at LHS Museum Store

October 21, 2017

Local artist Pam Bounds-Seemans will give a public talk during an Explore the Store - Meet the Artist event at the Lewes Historical Society Museum Store from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26. She will speak about her artwork and her life “living the ultimate Bohemian experience.”

Looking for great Lewes gifts that are locally sourced and inspired? Look no further than the Lewes Historical Society Museum Store at 302 Savannah Road across from the Zwaanendael Museum in the heart of downtown Lewes. With items inspired by the society's collections and sourced from local vendors, artists, and craftspersons, the store is the place to find that perfect gift for the person who loves Lewes.

"The store has a great selection of art and gifts by local artists," Museum Store Manager Suzanne Jones noted. "We are really excited to not only offer locally made items but have our visitors and guests have a chance to meet and talk with the people and creative minds behind them. Pam Bounds-Seemans has a wonderful following and over the years has captured the essence of the Delaware coast in her whimsical and highly sought-after paintings."

At the museum, some of Bounds-Seeman’s work will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Lewes Historical Society. She is a well-known Cape Region personality and artist. She has BA and MA degrees in fine arts from New Mexico Highlands University, and is a fellowship winner from the Delaware Division of the Arts. Her work depicts iconic local scenes, Delaware life, and sea life, as well as art for every holiday. She creates mixed-media paintings, wooden cut-outs and pins like no other artist. Bounds-Seemans invites all of her Lewes and Sussex County friends to come for an evening of art-infused entertainment. Light refreshments will be served.
