Local McDonald’s owners to support military with coffee promo Oct. 30 to Nov. 12

October 28, 2017

With Veterans Day approaching, local McDonald’s Restaurants of Eastern Shore owner/operators want to show their gratitude to U.S. military through the second annual Buy One, Give One McCafé Coffee for Our Military program.

For every cup of McCafé Coffee sold from Oct. 30 to Nov. 12, McDonald’s Restaurants of Eastern Shore will donate a cup to active and veteran U.S. military members. The McCafé Coffee will be sent in the form of fresh coffee grounds, so military personnel can brew it wherever they like.

Local McDonald’s owner/operators have partnered with Delmarva schools and other community organizations to create handwritten letters to be included in the care packages that will be sent to troops.

“We are very excited to kick off our second annual Buy One, Give One McCafé Coffee for Our Military program,” said Mike Meoli, McDonald’s Restaurants of Eastern Shore owner/operator and co-op president. “Our military personnel are so important to us, and we are extremely grateful for everything they have done for our communities. We hope that our McCafé Coffee and letter donation touches the lives of many of our active and veteran military personnel.”

To help package and distribute the McCafé Coffee overseas, the local owner/operators have partnered with Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit organization that annually assembles and ships more than 250,000 care packages to say thank you, and to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of the military and first responder communities.

Visit any local McDonald’s Restaurants of Eastern Shore location between Oct. 30 and Nov. 12, and enjoy a cup of McCafé Coffee to help say thank you to all who serve. For more information, visit mcdonalds.com.
