Long Neck Sunrise Rotary Club donates $500 to
Home of the Brave women's shelter

January 18, 2017

As part of its mission to serve the local community, Long Neck Sunrise Rotary Club presented a $500 donation to Beth McGinn, chair for Home of the Brave at the club's holiday party held Dec. 13, at the Ocean Grill in Long Neck. The check was earmarked to assist the work of Home of the Brave's Women's Shelter.

Home of the Brave is one of the organizations supported annually by the club, funded by the proceeds of its annual charity golf tournament held each year in June at The Peninsula. This year's outing is set for Thursday, June 8. "We are thrilled to have the support of the Long Neck Sunrise Rotary Club each year," said McGinn. "Many of our veterans fall on hard times when they return home, and with the help of organizations like Rotary, we are able to help them transition."
