LRAC should reconsider inclusion

May 22, 2018

I was disappointed and discouraged at the vote by LRAC to exclude those who are not "Christian" from their governing council.

In Amos 5:24, we read, "Let justice flow on like a river and righteousness like a never-failing torrent." In Micah 6:8, we read, "And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

LRAC in its sharing with our community does this in spades! I admire those who volunteer and do the work of God but who are currently excluded from the governing body.

I realize that we each have different as well as similar reasons for acting justly and for loving mercy and for walking humbly with our God. I would hope that LRAC can reconsider inclusion rather than exclusion.
