Luxury & Expedition Travel Show to benefit MERR set May 3

Hosted by Accent on Travel
April 20, 2018

Learn about worldwide expedition travel and luxurious vacations while helping to support marine mammal and sea turtle conservation Thursday, May 3, at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. The MERR Institute is pleased to announce the very first Luxury & Expedition Travel Show, an Accent On Travel signature event in the mid-Atlantic area. All of the ticket sales will benefit the MERR Institute, and their work to rescue and conserve marine mammals and sea turtles, and their ocean habitat.

The gala will be at 5 p.m., at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. Guests will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with official representatives from the world's premier travel companies, who will showcase unique travel experiences. This event will bring together 26 different travel companies, assembling for the very first time in Delaware, including nine expedition and tour companies such as: Natural Habitat, Backroads, Butterfield & Robinson, Rocky Mountaineer, African Travel, as well as 17 cruise lines, including expedition cruising from Silversea Cruises, Hurtigruten, Celebrity Galapagos, sailing cruises from Windstar Cruises & Star Clipper, and luxury cruises offered by Crystal, Regent, Oceania, Cunard, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, Viking Cruises Seaboard, and more.

Other highlights of this travel extravaganza evening include wine, champagne, signature and soft drinks, and heavy hors d'oeuvres, with opportunities to visit six different break out presentations from a select group of travel suppliers. Guests can don full expedition gear for a fun photo op with the award winning Carolyn Watson Photography, and enjoy the soft sounds of guitar by local entertainer Paul Cullen. The MERR Institute will be on hand to showcase their stranding and rescue work for the beautiful marine animals that are so beloved in Delaware's local community. All guests will receive exclusive offers from attending travel companies as a special thank you for attending.

Tickets for this evening are $75 per person, with 100 percent of all ticket dollars going to MERR. This event is fully funded by Accent on Travel and their travel partners in attendance. Tickets for the May 3 event are limited, so make reservations at www.merrinstitute.org and click on the event invitation tab or call Accent on Travel at 302-278-6100.
