Two people are facing drug charges after police saw one of them drop a bag of cocaine on the floor of Walmart in Georgetown.

Georgetown police were on foot patrol Feb. 10 at the Walmart of Route 113 when they saw a man drop a clear plastic bag on the floor, said Patrolman Joseph Melvin of the Georgetown Police Department.

Police walked toward the man, who quickly walked away. Police picked up the bag containing a white substance, which later tested position for cocaine. Melvin said the bag contained 1.5 grams of the drug.

Bridgeville resident Brandon Horsey, 31, was soon found driving north on Route 113 in a Ford Escape and pulled over by police.

Police also found Horsey in possession of 0.6 grams of marijuana. He is charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was released on unsecured bond.

A passenger in the vehicle, 41-year-old Lori McDowell of Greenwood, was arrested for possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. McDowell also was released on unsecured bond.
