She was a member of many community groups: the Red Hatters, the RSVP (Corporation for National and Community Service), the Lewes Senior Center, Lewes Historical Society, and a 50+ year member of the GFWC Zwaanendael Woman's Club in Lewes. She and Charlie supported the Church's Cub and Boy Scout Troops, and they were founding members of the Church's Square Dance Club.

Mrs. Parker enjoyed travel, the beach, and the beauty of nature, especially trees, flowers, birds and rocks. She loved The Lord, her family, her friends, and her church, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene Parker Greene; and her son Charles D. Parker III. She is survived by her son Gary V. Parker Sr. and his wife Debbie Lewis Parker, seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
