Mary C. Robinson, devoted to family

Mary C. Robinson, 79, of Dagsboro, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 19, 2018.She was born in Laurel, May 23, 1938, and raised in Gumboro, the daughter of the late Edward Fisher and Elizabeth (Toomey) Fisher.

Mary worked as an inspector for Snow White Laundry, the Wilgus Cleaners in Selbyville, and also Cargill Hatchery in Dagsboro. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary loved spending time with her family and never missed a baseball game that her husband or grandson played, and she also loved watching her granddaughter Stacey play softball. She also enjoyed cooking and listening to classic country music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Fisher; and a sister, Lillian Clendaniel. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Earl R. Robinson; a son, Clayton Robinson and his wife Donna of Salisbury, Md.; two grandchildren, Aaron Robinson and his wife Dawn of Georgetown and Stacey Hutson and her husband Tom of Dagsboro; and three great-grandchildren, Grace Kennedy Robinson, Rebecca Avery Robinson and Regan Emily Hutson. Mary is also survived by a brother, Henry Fisher of Millsboro; and two sisters, Margaret Lowe of Georgetown and Helen Wheatley and her husband Ronald of Seaford; and a sister-in-law, Christine Long of Dagsboro.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, March 24, at the Frankford Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 43 Thatcher St., Frankford, where the funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Dagsboro Redmen Cemetery in Dagsboro.
