Mary Jane Joyner, Breakers Hotel employee

Mary Jane Joyner, 63, passed away early Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, in Selbyville, where she lived.

Mary was born March 15, 1954, in Dagsboro to the late Walter Floyd and Roselle Purnell-Joyner. She was a student of the Indian River school District. She was a sweet and kind angel whom everyone loved. She was a hard worker. She worked several jobs. The last job she worked was at the Breakers Hotel in Rehoboth Beach, where she was in laundry until she was unable to work, so she had to retire.

Mary was a loving mother of three children, Myron, Tomeko and Sherry Joyner. She loved them. She was the light of the family. She would do anything to help her children and grandchildren. She loved playing spades, laughing and eating. All she wanted was to keep her family together. That was her dying wish.

Service will be Friday, March 3, at noon, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 437 North Front St., Seaford.

Letters of condolence may be sent and guest book signed. Professional services entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Seaford.
