Mary Jeanette Jacobs, retired budget analyst

Mary Jeanette Jacobs, 74, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2018, at her home in Selbyville. She was born Dec. 23, 1943, in Trenton, Mo., the daughter of the late Donald Bennett Ingerslew and Phyllis (Trudeau) Ingerslew.

As the daughter of a Navy officer, Mary lived in a number of places growing up (including both coasts and London, England). Following a 24-year career working as a budget analyst for the Navy, she retired with her husband Dale to Selbyville. At her death she was serving as secretary on the board of Bluewater East Condominium Association, Ocean City, Md.; as a volunteer drove the elderly to doctors’ appointments for CHEER, and in a number of capacities for her church, Snow Hill Christian.

Mary is survived by her husband, the Rev. Dale D. Jacobs; daughter Diane (Walker) Northrop (Erik) of Alexandria, Va.; her son, Richard (Rick) O. Walker (Jenn) of Norfolk, Va.; and five grandchildren, Jonathan Fasulo of Alexandria, Kevin and Keera Northrop of Alexandria, Virginia and Madison Walker of Norfolk; and stepdaughter, Brittany Armstrong of Ft. Drum. N.Y.

A Memorial Service will be held at noon, Saturday, Feb. 24, at Snow Hill Christian Church, 300 Park Row, Snow Hill, Md., with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to Mountain Mission School, 1760 Edgewater Drive, Grundy, VA 24614.
