Mary Kathryn Zerbey, customer advocate

February 14, 2018

Mary Kathryn Zerbey, 47, of Wilmington peacefully passed into the hands of God Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Wilmington Hospital, surrounded by those closest to her.

Mary graduated from Bald Eagle-Nittany High School in Mill Hall, Pa., and Delaware Technical Community College. She was a customer advocate at Bank of America, and served a similar role previously at MBNA, both in Wilmington. She was also a blessed member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Mary was a loving mother, devoted wife, and hardworking supporter of her family in every way possible. Gardener, music appreciator, adventurer, crafter, Lego builder, cook, party hostess, party star, hiker, soccer manager, and giver: Mary was all and more.

Mary is survived by the luckiest men in the world: Jason, Westen and Isaac Zerbey; mother and father, Jack and Carol Fisher; her identical twin sister, Deby Evans (Jeff); sisters, Ann Fisher and Margaret Murphy (Larry); nieces Aja, Bailey, Emily, Marley and Sadie; nephews Lars and Bishop; and the most amazing community of friends and family one could imagine.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Emily and Thomas Fisher, and Pauline and Edward Rembold; uncles, Tommy Fisher and Gary "Bub" Rembold; and brother-in law, Rich Williams.

A memorial service will be held to remember Mary Saturday, Feb. 17, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2313 Concord Pike, Wilmington. Friends and family are invited to visit at the church beginning at 9 a.m., prior to the 11 a.m. service, followed by a luncheon reception in the church fellowship hall. The Rev. J. Chris Pennington will officiate.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to The Zerbey Children Educational Fund (https://www.gofundme.com/zerbeys-children-educational-fund) established by her dear colleagues, or to Delaware Nature Society (http://www.delawarenaturesociety.org/MemorialGiving), Development Office, PO Box 700, Hockessin, DE 19707. Make checks payable to 'Delaware Nature Society' and include Mary's name on the memo line.
