Mary Lee West Middleton, versatile worker

Mary Lee West Middleton passed away in the care of her family and the Compassionate Care Hospice Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, on her birthday. She was born Feb. 19, 1933, in Church Hill, Md., to the late Edward and Cora Middleton.

She was a versatile worker, having served at Paramount Poultry, and then worked as a clerk at Charles and Dot's Market, then Three Bells market for another 12 years. She loved crocheting, reading and spending time with family. She enjoyed auctions.

She is survived by her husband, James T. Middleton; and her children: Ronald West Sr. and his wife Deborah, Harvey G. West, Bonnie Adams and husband Martin, Eddie West and Stephen West; and a brother, Gene Middleton and his wife Tamara. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Ronald West Jr., Robert West, Christina Ferenczi, Angela Adams Canon and Martin Adams. She has 11 great-grandchildren; and is also survived by her beloved pet, Freddie, the dog.

A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held Friday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m., at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro. Friends may call two hours earlier, from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. for viewing and visitation. Pastor Troy Dennis will officiate, Interment follows at Woodlawn Cemetery, also in Millsboro.
