Masked men sought in attempted robbery at Forgotten Mile Valero

Police are searching for two men who they say tried to rob the Forgotten Mile Valero Nov. 24.

The two men wore masks and entered the gas station at 6:58 p.m. through separate entrances, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.

Once inside, Jaffe said, one suspect walked toward the clerk while holding a sharp instrument. The clerk retreated to a storage closet and then both masked men left the store. The store clerk was not injured during this incident.

Suspect one is described as a black male, 5-feet-9-inches tall, medium build, wearing dark clothing, light-colored shoes, white mask, a round fisherman-style hat, light-colored gloves, and displaying a sharp instrument.

Suspect two is described as a large-framed male, unknown race, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt , dark-colored pants and shoes, light-colored gloves, white mask, with dreadlocks and displaying a sharp instrument.
