McDonald’s honors Eastern Shore managers with national award

Outstanding General Manager Award honors top 10 percent of restaurant general managers

Three local McDonald's Restaurants of Eastern Shore general managers recently received the Outstanding General Manager Award, a nationwide McDonald's honor that recognizes managers for outstanding performance. The award recognizes the top 10 percent of general managers across the entire U.S. system.

The 2017 Outstanding General Manager Award recipients include:

  • Nick Ewing, The Meoli Companies, local McDonald's owner/operator Mike Meoli
  • Elizabeth Fleming, Baxter Enterprises, local McDonald's owner/operators Tom Baxter and Tiffany Beach
  • Charity Lewis, Baxter Enterprises, local McDonald's owner/operators Tom Baxter and Tiffany Beach.

"General managers face the daily challenges of satisfying customers, running great restaurants and staffing restaurants with qualified crew," said Mike Meoli, McDonald's Restaurants of Eastern Shore owner/operator and co-op president. "I am truly proud to have these managers as part of the McDonald's Restaurants of Eastern Shore family as they are critical to the success and future growth of the business."

The Outstanding General Manager Award is based upon achieving superior results in selected areas of performance. Managers nominated for the award must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence of their excellence in each of three categories including Operational Excellence, Leader in People Management and Building the Business.
