McGuiness has proven track record for Rehoboth

August 11, 2017

Kathy McGuiness is amazing! She's a working mother of three. She has been a retailer and a pharmacist, owning the Rehoboth Pharmacy in downtown. Currently, she is a realtor with Jack Lingo.

In 1996 Kathy joined other community activists and business owners to create Rehoboth Beach Main Street and became its first president. One of her many achievements with the organization was to bring fireworks to the beach.

A Rehoboth Beach commissioner starting in 2000, she was a leading advocate in getting the Rehoboth Avenue streetscape approved. After stepping down in 2012 to focus on her three children she returned to the Board of Commissioners in 2014. Her service to the community has continued with active roles in supporting projects such as ocean outfall as well as challenging the questionable practice of approving change orders without prior approval of the board on the City Hall project.

You may be familiar with some or all of these accomplishments.

However, what you may not be aware of is her efforts on behalf of our community behind the scenes. Her network with county, state and national level officials is well established and proven effective. Her powers of persuasion have benefitted the few and the many.

The election is Saturday, so it's time to say thank you and please to vote for Kathy. Thank you for all you've done for Rehoboth Beach and [by giving her your vote] please continue to serve us!
