Meetings set on new school report card website

Residents invited to comment Oct. 9 at Beacon Middle School

Delaware Department of Education wants to know how it can improve school profiles available on the state website as officials prepare to launch a new website called school report cards.

"The Delaware Report Card will help families and the community access data in a more meaningful way so that we're all making informed decisions based on the same information," said Secretary of Education Susan Bunting. "We need people to attend the Community Conversations and provide constructive feedback."

State officials want to know what kinds of information Delaware residents would like to find on the site and how the site can be more useful and easier to navigate.

The first community meeting is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at Beacon Middle School.

Other community meetings are scheduled throughout the state:

  • Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 – 6 to 8 p.m. – Warner Elementary School Library, Red Clay Consolidated School District
  • Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 – 6 to 8 p.m. – Dover High School Cafeteria, Capital School District
  • Monday, Oct. 23, 2017 – 6 to 8 p.m. – MOT Charter High School Cafeteria, MOT Charter School
  • Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 –6 to 8 p.m. – Laurel Middle High School Cafeteria, Laurel School District
