Mic Ultra SPF 5K to benefit Melanoma research May 13

April 25, 2018

The approach of summer means more time outdoors and especially on the beach. Too much sun is never a good thing, and protection from the sun’s potentially harmful rays is a must. Rehoboth Ale House will host the 2nd Annual Mic Ultra SPF 5K at 8:30 a.m., Sunday, May 13, to benefit Moving for Melanoma, a statewide effort to promote awareness, protection, and research about melanoma and other skin cancers.

The event will kick off Mother’s Day with a fun run, and help educate community members about protecting themselves and and loved ones by practicing skin safety in the sun.

Adam Newman of the Rehoboth Ale House invites folks of all ages to come out to support a great cause which is especially important to everyone living at and visiting the beach area.

Preregistration is $30. Students pay $20 and $25. Non-running guests may attend the after party for $10. To register online, go to www.races2run.com and click on Beach Races. Early packet pickup and late registration will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 12, at Rehoboth Ale House.

The largest team will be honored with the Rehoboth Ale House Cup and happy hour cards. The preregistered team (including one female member) with the best overall time will also be honored. The post-race Mother’s Day breakfast party is sponsored by Rehoboth Ale House. Beer will also be available for participants age 21 and over.

Sponsors are Rehoboth Ale House, NKS Distributors Inc. and There’s a Burn in You personal trainers.
