Mildred A. Pecoraro, had outgoing personality

Mildred A. Pecoraro, 90, of Bethany Beach, formerly of Silver Spring, Md., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes.

Mildred was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Keansburg, N.J., daughter of the late Carmine and Mary Pacelli. She had worked as a secretary with the NRC, and was also a crossing guard before her retirement.

Mildred was so known for her outgoing and loving personality that she was given the nickname "Bubbles." She was a member of the Red Hat Society, volunteered her time at the CHEER Center, and also enjoyed bowling. Mildred faithfully attended St. Ann's Catholic Church, loved going to the beach and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Pecoraro in 2012. She is survived by a son, Joseph A. Pecoraro of Gaithersburg, Md.; a daughter, Joann Pecoraro of Pauley, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Danielle, Olivia and Blake Pecoraro, all of Maryland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 3, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, where friends and family may visit after 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
