Milford’s Knights of Columbus donate to Kent-Sussex Industries

October 17, 2016

Kent-Sussex Industries Inc. received a donation from Milford’s Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph’s Council. Knights of Columbus, worldwide, support organizations that assist citizens with intellectual and physical disabilities.

The St. Joseph Council and KSI would like to thank the following Milford-area businesses for permitting solicitation: Ace Hardware, Big Lots, Cypress Liquors, Mail Center, O’Neill’s Liquors, Redner’s Market and Sears.

Several local Knights councils participate in an annual Tootsie Roll drive during which time donations are solicited. Council members gather at various store locations giving out Tootsie Rolls and encouraging people to make a donation. They also have Tootsie Rolls and donation jars in some local businesses. The next Tootsie Roll drive for St. Joseph Council will run from October 2016 through March 2017, with all proceeds again being donated to KSI, a nonprofit agency providing vocational training, employment, supported employment, community integration, transportation and day habilitation services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex counties.
