Milford Housing receives $2,500 grant from County Bank

On July 18, County Bank presented Milford Housing Development Corporation with a $2,500 grant to support MHDC's Self-Help Housing Program.
MHDC is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing solutions to people of modest means. The Self-Help Housing Program was established by USDA Rural Development over 40 years ago, utilizing a sweat equity model. MHDC is the only agency in Delaware offering the program and has assisted close to 200 families to realize their dream of homeownership. Currently, MHDC's Self-Help families average $32,000 in sweat equity per home.
