Milton Community Foundation to host special bingo night June 6

Proceeds to benefit town initiatives, programs

The Milton Community Foundation will host a special night of bingo at the Milton Fire Hall on Tuesday, June 6. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and games start at 7 p.m. The event will feature door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and free desserts. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Call 302-422-2645 to make reservations. Leave message with your name and number of spots you would like to reserve.  Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at door.

The Milton Community Foundation's mission is to help improve the quality of life in Milton. It escrows funds on an ad-hoc basis for volunteer citizen initiatives and groups, and in public/private partnerships for community improvements and economic development. MCF is an IRS tax-exempt organization established in 2006. The foundation is supported by donations, grants, endowments and bequests.

The foundation supports the Gladys Wilkins Seeding the Future scholarship fund for local Milton students, and has helped fund caps and gowns for students at Cape Henlopen High School. The foundation also supports the Milton Little League, local Eagle Scout programs, Milton Farmers Market, summer concerts in the park, other local projects and events and helps groups manage their fundraising efforts.
